UCLA Graduation Ceremony
Just returned from a quick trip to Los Angeles where my business partner, Bryan Hane, and I attended graduation ceremonies for the MDE program we completed this past fall at UCLA. MDE stands for Management Development for Entrepreneurs and it consisted of a ten week course covering the critical factors involved in managing a fast growing business such as Speaker Fulfillment Services.
From late September through early December we flew from Indianapolis to Los Angeles every Thursday and attended class all day on Friday, covering such topics as personnel management, finance, marketing, production management, sales, banking and much more. It was a tremendous commitment of both money and time, but we felt it was something we had to do in order to help Speaker Fulfillment Services continue to grow and to service our clients at an even higher level.
If you have a fast growing company that is going through some growing pains I seriously encourage you to investigate the MDE program available through the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. They have weekend retreats also that may be a fit. The url at the time of this blogpost for more information go to http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x663.xml.
My travels continue this week as I’m off on Thursday to Long Island to attend Mike Filsaime’s 2007 7 Figure Business Workshop. If you’re going to be there be sure to look me up.
